Scale the price axis

The price axis controls the vertical space between price levels. Scaling the price axis changes how tall the candles appear on the chart.

Look at Candle X. There was little price movement during that day, so its body and wicks appear very short. Scale the price axis to make the candle appear taller and easier to inspect.

On a computer, drag up or down on the price axis. On a touchscreen, drag the price axis with one finger.

Dragging the price axis changes how much vertical space the candles use. Spread the price levels apart to make the candles taller. Bring the price levels closer together to show a wider price range.

A closer vertical scale is useful when candles look compressed. It gives you more space to compare their bodies and wicks. A wider vertical scale helps you see a larger price range.

Watch Candle X while you drag the price axis. Make the candle tall enough to inspect its body and wicks clearly.

Make Candle X taller

Drag the price axis until Candle X appears clearly taller.
