Find and read a candle

This exercise combines the chart controls you have just learned. Your task is to find an earlier Apple candle and read its opening price.

Candle X formed on 5 June 2023. It begins outside the visible area of the chart. Pan towards the older price history until Candle X appears.

Once you find Candle X, scale the price axis until its body and wicks are easy to inspect.

Candle X is a falling candle. The top of its body shows the opening price, and the bottom shows the closing price.

Move your mouse over Candle X and place the horizontal crosshair at the top of its body. Then read the price shown on the right. Be careful not to use the bottom of the body, which shows the closing price.
